The Pavilion at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital was a major healthcare project developed as a $1.6 billion, state-of-the-art facility. The building includes 1.5 million square feet, 17 floors, and 504 patient rooms. Henricksen was involved early in the process, providing ideas and preliminary budget support before the final bid specifications were written. After the furniture bid was released in March 2020, the team worked remotely during the early days of the COVID outbreak to build a response that matched the size, scope, and complexity of the project.

After being awarded the furniture portion of the Pavilion in July 2020, Henricksen worked closely with the PennFIRST Team through biweekly meetings to finalize specifications and manage ordering and logistics. Because the project was moving forward during pandemic-related supply chain disruption, the team built a plan around lead times, project schedule, and floor plans so orders could be placed strategically and adjusted as conditions changed. The project included coordination with 44 vendors and delivery of more than 100 tractor trailers of furniture, completed without a scheduling error.

This project is highly relevant to your RFP because it closely matches the scale and complexity of the AMC Tower. Like your project, it required large-scale healthcare furniture coordination, disciplined vendor management, schedule control, and detailed logistics across a multi-floor hospital environment. It also demonstrates our ability to support a major healthcare client through uncertainty, changing conditions, and a highly complex delivery process.
